I have just moved to Malmö and
and in Copenhagen as well.
Hello, my name is Drahomír Mach. I am of Czech origin and I have just moved to Malmö, Sweden. I am looking for a job and I would like to introduce myself a little.
name: Drahomír Mach
origin: Czech Republic
born: 13th November 1985
degree: master's, economics
I studied at Masaryk University in Brno, Czech Republic and I graduated in economics. I chose this University because it is one of the most prestigious universities in the country where the students become well-prepared for thier careers.
I graduated with honours in 2011. I studied (full-time) Economic Policy and Administration.
The programme requirements were 120 ECTS including a Master's thesis and a Final state examination.
I finished my bachelor's studies in 2009. I studied (full-time) Regional development and Administration.
The programme requirements were 180 ECTS including a Bachelor's thesis and a Final state examination.
I passed the Cambridge Business English Certificate (BEC Higher) in June 2015.
I accomplished C1 level according the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
Masaryk University in Brno, Czech Republic belongs to the best universities in the country. It is a University-type public higher education institution.
I decided to study economics in 2006 and it was a great choice. My University has taught me the most important approaches and ways of thinking that are helping me every day in my professional and non-professional life.
The first three years of my programme (Regional Development and Administration) were mostly about gaining general knowledge of all the economics (and related) subjects like Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Mathematics, Statistics, Mathematical Methods in Economics, Financial Accounting, Management, Corporate Economics, Foundation of Corporate Finance, Public Economics, World Economy and other subjects. I also studied subjects related to my programme like Demography, Structural Policy of the EU, Evaluation of Real Estate and Natural Resources, Spatial Planning in CZE and Europe.
It was a large variety of subjects that gave me a great insight into many issues. However, the most important lesson learned was the way I started to think. Thanks to my studies I am able to think more logically, analytically, critically and formulate and organize my thoughts and ideas in an understandable way.
I finished my bachelor's studies with a Final state examination with the following results: Bachelor's Thesis: excellent, Economics: very good, Defence of Bachelor's Thesis: excellent, Regional Development and Administration: excellent. My Overall result of the state exam was: excellent.
My last two years at the University (the Master's studies) were more concentrated on the main subject of my programme - regional development. The most interesting subjects during these two years were: Innovation processes, Development and support of enterprises, Development of Municipal and Rural Communities, Countryside development, Programmes of Regional and Community Development.
All the subjects gave me a very deep and complex insight into the problematic. I gained a valuable theoretical base for my future career. I was the only one (in 2011) to finish the programme with honours.
I am named on a list of successful students of my faculty. However, it is only available in Czech.
I worked four years for The Regional Council of the South-East Cohesion Region as an analyst of the information systems and later as a communication manager. I have been freelancing since the beginning of 2016.
In 2012 I started to work as an analyst of the information systems. The core of the work was financial data analysis, regular and ad hoc reporting as well as evaluation and monitoring of the Regional Operational Programme South-East.
From January to December 2015 I was a member of a team that promoted the results and outputs of The Regional Operational programme as well as communicated with the public.
I moved to France in the beginning of 2016 (you can read more about it below) and started freelancing in the field of digital design. I design web sites and logos for the most part and I am participating in design contests.
After my graduation I found a job that perfectly fitted my previous studies. I started to work for an institution which was involved in regional development in Czech republic. The Regional Council redistributed financial aid from the European Regional Development Fund. The overall budget was about 720 million euros.
My first position in this company was an analyst of informational systems. I mainly worked with MS Excel. Creating pivot tables and gathering data from the database as well as coding in Visual Basic were my day-to-day tasks. I helped to prepare a dashboard with Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for our institution. I was also helping our customers whenever they had difficulties with filling in our web application to apply for funds for their development projects.
Mr. Ljubomir Džingozov - email@example.com was the head of The Monitoring and Evaluation Section (the section were I worked) whom you can contact for references.
In January 2015 I started to work for the same institution as a communication officer. I became a member of a team which promoted the results and outputs of the institution. It was actually a more creative position and a nice change after three years with numbers only. We were preparing newsletters for our stake holders, promotional videos, organising special events to promote the institution. My contract ended here in the end of 2015.
Ms. Kateřina Kurková firstname.lastname@example.org, head of The Communication section whom you can contact for references.
I moved to France in the beginning of 2016, because of my girlfriend who studied and still studies there. Since I did not know any French I tried to turn my hobby (digital design) into a job. After several months I started to design logos and web sites for clients and for design contests.
I gained a good partner throughout one of the contests. I started to cooperate with a Czech based e-shop. I am a part of their team which is dealing with promotional materials for campaigns and marketing. I design web sites, web banners, graphic elements and other materials for communication for customers.
In my spare time I always try to learn something new and work on myself. Here I would like to introduce you my side projects and activities that fill my days.
One of my favourite side projects is MySwedish.net. I started to learn Swedish in the beginning of 2015. I decided to do it and simultaneously share my knowledge online with other people. I have built the web site (and I redesigned it by the end of 2016) where I post my own lessons, share interesting study materials, tips and tricks and I wrote an e-book about Swedish and learning. I have my own Facebook Swedish class where I post study materials every day.
As I wrote above I am participating in design contests and in 2016 and 2017 I won nine logo designs contests on Czech service LogoPro.cz. You can see all my logos here. I won one web site contest on hatchwise.com and one web site contest on topdesigner.cz.
What I really like to do in my spare time is to travel, read and play floorball.
If you find my profile interesting and suitable for your project or for your positions, please, do not hesitate and send me a message. We can be great together!
We can arrange a face-to-face meeting or we can have a Skype call as well. Just let me know what is the best option for you. My name is Drahomír Mach and I am looking for a job in Sweden.
